Welcome to The Workshop Journal. We’re glad you’re here, and we look forward to sharing the knowledge, stories, and practical lessons behind Kyle’s Wood Touch Up And Repair and The Workshop Library.

This blog will be a place to learn, stay informed, and see what is coming next. Whether you are a homeowner caring for a favourite piece of furniture, a DIY enthusiast building your confidence, or a tradesperson looking to sharpen your judgment, we hope you will find something useful here.

In future posts, we’ll share helpful hints, tips, and techniques for wood touch-up and repair. We’ll explore the small details that can make a difference: what to look for before starting a repair, how to prepare a work area, when a simple touch-up may be enough, and when a problem calls for a more careful approach. Drawing on more than 30 years of hands-on experience, Dave will also share lessons learned through real work and explain the thinking behind professional decisions.

The journal will keep you up to date with The Workshop Library. We’ll announce new books, let you know where they can be found, and share news about upcoming events and opportunities to connect with us. As each volume develops, you’ll get a closer look at the subjects it covers and how it fits into the larger learning journey.

We’re also preparing an e-learning system that will begin alongside Volume Two. The courses are intended to work hand in hand with the books, giving readers another way to explore the material, see ideas in action, and build their skills over time. We’ll share more about the courses, what they include, and when they will be available as those details are confirmed.
